A whole lotta yarn

Ever wondered what 1.2 kilos - 2.65 pounds - of yarn looks like?

I picked this big baby up at a Middle Ages Market for 19 Euros! I am going to use this for an aran sweater with cable patterns, and make it up with Elizabeth Zimmermann guiding me along. I don't know yet if I want to make a cardigan or a pullover. The lady who sold the yarn to me didn't have any baggies left, so I stuck it in my huge (and empty) bag - but there was so much yarn that I couldn't zip it up:

And here is a picture of my second security blanket bunny, who went to the truly adorable Berenike. She seemed to like her bunny alot, and carried her around for a while. :-) Surrounding the bunny are some gifts for her parents, Susan and Oliver: Turkish Coffee with Cardamon and a book of Israeli short stories.

And speaking of adorable - Kinder Eggs are currently featuring sheep! Below is my Oma Wolle:

She's knitting a fair-isle design with sheep - and with classic German-knitter precision. The dark pink-purple yarn she's using matches the cords on my Knitpicks Harmony needles perfectly. So Oma Wolle now lives in my knitting notions bag!

That's a whole lotta yarn! is it one big skein? If so, yay for fewer ends to weave in!
